I think this topic is touchy for many people. I am going to attempt to give you my honest testimony of the night. You can find more testimonies here: Andrew York (Leader), Josh Hjelmgren (Student), Elizabeth York (Staff).
We started our Mystery Fun Night with a movie that I watched in my DTS, Finger of God. Its meant to build faith in a God that heals, does miraculous signs and wonders and is moving around the world. The whole time during the
The AWAKEN DTS has begun! After all the preparation, prayer, thought, discussion, and meetings, the students and first speaker (Philip York) are here. Now begins a new phase, a transition from preparation to application. 59 students from over 12 countries have come to learn more about God. Its quite a task and quite a privilege that God has put us in this position. I can get quickly overwhelmed thinking about it beyond a day!

I should have more on Facebook sometime!
It seems like when ever you get Jeff (our DTS leader) and Jed (our brother-in-law and CommTrans alum) together crazy things happen! Its evident from the stories they came to us with from their trip in Amsterdam with the other outreach team. I think its because they just love Jesus and fire our teams up and we regain perspective on
This Friday, we partnered with the free church and handed out hot coffee, hot chocolate and cookies to people on the streets. We went out in shifts because it was so cold we could only be out for 30 minutes. The group at the church would be intercessors for the people on the streets. I have had a cold for about a month now and am trying to get rid of it by staying in the warmth so I decided not to go out into the cold. After the 3rd shift,
We’ve been partnering with Street Church every Friday. We hand out Kaffe (Coffee), Choklad (hot chocolate), and some cookies to pedestrians on the street. We strike up conversations to them and of course the topic turns to God as they see our display of Bibles and verses and our jackets that say “Street Church” on them. We find people from all walks of life, countries, and languages in this multicultural city. During the last one on Friday, Rex, Christian (our good friend from here in Malmo) and I went on a prayer walk. It was such a amazing time with the Lord! We just prayed for the Spirit to
This tuesday, we partnered with the Crossroads DTS class for our Kona community outreach. After a worship session to get on fire. We went out. Camille and I were coupled with a husband and wife, Brian and Janelle, from Alaska.
Actually the story doesn’t start there. Earlier that day, Camille was feeling like we aren’t making a difference on our outreaches. We had been turned down for prayer quite a few times. I tried to encourage her and then went to the prayer room. In the prayer room, we prayed for an outpouring of miracles for the outreach. As I walked out of the prayer room, Jeff was there and gathered a few of us to pray for this girl that had sinus pain for a week now. We all layed hands on her and prayed
We met to have a Sunday night worship session featuring Fire and Fragrance the DTS focused on worship and intercession on campus. After some worship music and prayer, Andy said he felt like the Lord wanted to say a few things to specific individuals in class. I sat there thinking this is going to be interesting to see who he calls out. The first words out of his mouth:
