We are excited because we got shots yesterday! Ok, We don’t actually love the poking of a needle, but it was just one more step complete in the YWAM application process!
We have to be tested for Tuberculosis and this is done by injecting…something, under the skin. If it fades away, it is a green light, if it hardens, bad news, you have Tuberculosis. I think Cam and I have passed! I was going to post a photo of my injection site on my arm, but figured you guys wouldn’t really want to see that!
The only thing left to complete our application is the Pastor and Colleage referral forms…and whatever other requirements Jeff has for us :)
On another note, I just finished reading Is That Really You God by Loren Cunningham. Awesome! I borrowed it from Melodie and Jed. It’s incredible and inspiring to read about Loren’s obedience to God and to read about the beginnings of YWAM with his vision of waves of young people. It makes me think—how can God speak, if we aren’t trying to listening? It is definately a process trying to make my own mind be quiet! The back of the book has a great guide to tuning yourself out and tuning God in.
