We just received our acceptance e-mail from the University of Nations Registrar and Camille and I are in! It’s another step to check off our list!
Thoughts on our journey so far
As we get closer to our date of departure, September 22, Camille and I get more and more excited to see where God’s will will lead us. Looking back on everything so far, it has been amazing and humbling to see the support we have received. I wish I could track all the prayers to thank you all. It’s also an interesting experience to have people give us money*. I’ve learned a few things from it: Friends, families and sometimes strangers are really generous but it is usually the people you don’t expect that give the most. One thing is for certain, I have seen Christ in the eyes of the joyous givers!
We had some friends say, “you know you don’t have to send a thank you everytime we give something.” haha well, I feel like we can never thank you all enough! Oh yea..thank you! and remember this:
“And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8 (HCS)
Looking ahead
We are 1/3 of our way in raising the $20,000 needed for the 6 month YWAM trip. Its an awesome start and I am curious and excited to see how the funds will come in. “What if they don’t?” you may ask. It is something I naturally fear, a fear of the unknown, but then I think of the past events that have confirmed it is where God is leading. I feel God testing our faith already so that it may be stronger when we will probably need it most—on the outreach portion of our DTS. We also have our house to sell or rent and I need someone to run my business while I am away. There is no doubt God can do all this and more if it is in His Will! You readers will be witnesses to what happens. Lord, Your Will be done in our lives!
*really we are just the treasurers, the donations are God’s to use. In fact, the money isn’t donations at all but a 3-way partnership between God, you, and us. You are partnering with us in God’s Will to go on this journey to spread His Kingdom. That’s why I use the term partner with us instead of donate or give.

Great post guys! But that was a pretty scrappy piece of paper with coffee stains on it they sent you! (just kidding). we got our email through this morning and were VERY excited to read through the info. I really appreciate your explanation of partnering, it is something we are trying hard to communicate as a concept, and you did a great job. Would be great to skype at some point, we are on fairly regularly, especially during your afternoons, so jump online sometime and see if we are about! CANT WAIT 6 Weeks!

Thanks Jeff! You are an inspiration! I can’t wait for you to visit!
haha, Liam, I think Jeff wrote the letter at the coffee shop
My design inspiration came from the book Jesus for President. One of the coolest books I’ve read and the coolest design layouts too.
