Today, Camille and I were in the student services office making phone calls to the students accepted to the Summer Classic DTS. We fielded questions and gave advice on things like packing and what to expect during a day on campus. We both left the offices so excited for the school and to meet the students! God is going to do awesome things, we can just feel it!
Tonight, we finally met our school leader, Andrew York, who was resting up after his trip to India and Haiti. Its awesome to have him on campus. We look forward to getting to know him better and running after Jesus with him.
To catch you up, we also sat in on the DTS that Kristin is staffing for 2 days and listened to Billy Humphrey from IHOP Atlanta. It was incredible to be back in an environment of learning and growing! Billy brought some great teaching like the study of the word QARAH (hebrew for call, as in call to the LORD in prayer) in the old testament. The extended translation is to cry out as if to get ones attention. Wow, that sheds a little light on how the prayer warrior David and the people in tabernacle prayed, crying out to God.
These past few days on campus we have been slowly meeting fellow staffers. They are all amazing and hungry for more of God! Yes, this school is going to be amazing!
For those of you curious, check out our room on campus. Its one of the oldest buildings on campus but at least it has a decent balcony!
