Look upon His creation in Awe

Oh how he loves us!

The bible is a love story. Some of you might be saying,”No way, it’s just a book of do’s and don’ts. There is no plot, sure there are lots of characters, but they all don’t tie together. How could it be true?”

Here’s what I’m learning and God is revealing to me.

First of all, why did God create man? God wanted something to just look upon Him and His creation in awe and love him as he loves his creation. Its what we are made to do. It was going really well at first, God and Adam and Eve were just hanging out in Eden looking at each other in love until the devil tricked Adam and Eve into eating of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil (side note: One of the devils way to make us go astray is by making us doubt, “did God really say…” – Gen 3:1).

Also along the lines of love, why was there even a Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil? A good point that one of our speakers made is that you can’t love something unless you say no to something else. Adam and Eve didn’t say no to the Tree and ate of it, but what does God do after they eat of it? The Lord still comes back to them even though Adam and Eve are ashamed and guilty. Sound familiar in our lives? He’s always returning to us…actually He’s always there and He never has left us. He knew of the sin committed by Adam and Eve but he still called out to them, “where are you?” Gen 3:9.

Our God is seeking a relationship with his one love, his creation—man. He knew from the start what would happen, but loves his creation so much that He is willing to wait and willing to give up His only Son for us humans. God sacrificing for humans—only a God of love would do that.

Today God is pursuing our hearts and is desperately wanting a relationship with us. Receive it my friends. Seek His presence in your lives. It’s what we were born to do. Oh how He loves us!

This is amazing! You made me cry…how amazing is it that God didnt change when man sinned in the garden, man did( by hiding). It wasnt like sudden because he sinned God could no longer be in his presence, instead Adam and Eve hid from Him in shame. I love you bro and sis! i am so excited for what you are discovering and for discovering it with you through your blog.
