Camille kept trying to get me to look up at the camera, but I was too focused on talking to the phone haha. Meanwhile, Camille was pretty flawless :) It really was a unique experience to be on Jireh Junction. I hope we met the expectations of our section called “Words of Wisdom”!

We figured about 150 people came to support us! Wow, thanks so much to God for allowing this event to take place, and for everything to go so smoothly. All glory to You!  We weren’t sure what to expect from the talent show. We hadn’t done any practice runs and Jeremiah couldn’t get there early to do a sound check. We didn’t have any problems at all. I had so much fun hosting it! Jed, Heather, and Selena were awesome judges. I was impressed w/Heather’s variety of accents!! Calvin hobbled around on his crutches since he sprained his ankle playing basketball the night before. However, he managed to put together a pretty awesome video clip about YWAM. We had everything from singers, pianists, interpretive dancers, a trumpet player, drum solo, magician, hula-hoopers, gymnastics, and more. I was actually really impressed with how awesome the talent acts were! Great job you guys! Chelsey Hilman placed 1st with “Revelation Song”. Merle, Greg, & Kevin placed 2nd by singing an awesome rendition of  “The Fray, You found Me”. Jene Jeter placed 3rd with her beautiful interpretive dance to “Chris Tomlin’s I will Rise”.

[singlepic id=54 w=320 h=240 float=left]Rusty did an amazing live painting that we auctioned off at the end. It brought in $325! Thanks so much Rusty! A friend of mine donated 2 pair of vintage earrings she made. They were auctioned off as well and brought in $105. Thanks Holly! Thanks so much to everyone who came and supported us. Thank you for all of your donations, for volunteering your skills, time, and money! We raised $3,500 towards our mission trip!!!! This night wouldn’t have been possible with out you. It’s so awesome to see the community come together and support us. May God bless you all like crazy!

The menu is finalized! We will be eating Pancetta-wrapped, herb-rubbed pork tenderlion, Caesar salad with fresh homemade dressing and Parmesan cheese, crisp green beans, and sonrise rolls.

Our talent show is featuring singers, dancers, movie skits, a live painting by Rusty Kinnunen that will be auctioned off and more! I think we have around 16 confirmed performances. We also have some awesome judges to give their comments after each performance. It should be hilarious and entertaining!

The whole night is donation only to benefit our YWAM mission trip in September.

Wow these last few weeks has been awesome! We’ve been praying for opportunities to find financial partners and prayer warriors for our YWAM trip and man have they fell into our lap! Thank you Lord and thank you to all who voiced the great ideas!

Camille started a circuit training session on Mark and Katie’s Lawn (my sis and bro-in-law)! Sessions are every MON and WED at 6PM and last about 45 min. It’s kind of comical but really fun! Camille keeps us smiling (she tells us to smile as we are on our 10th rep of some exercise she got from Jillian Michaels haha). If it gets too hot, Mark will turn on the sprinklers for a nice cool down. My core is seriously sore! It’s donations only. Call us 864 616 6637 or e-mail us for directions.

Benefit Dinner and Talent Show

The second idea is a benefit dinner and talent show on 6:00PM TUESDAY, JULY 28 2009 at The Vine. We are looking forward to this and can’t wait to see the talent! I am going to dust off the old juggling cubes :) ! The dinner and show will be donations only.
