Workin’ at the car wash

This Saturday, we had our first fundraising event! Our home church, The Vine, was having a huge yard/garage sale so we figured it be a good idea to have a car wash at the same time. I really didn’t know what to expect. We told as many people as possible and prayed for a good turn out.

5:30 AM wake up = COFFEE NEEDED! We got to the church at 7AM and the hard core yard-salers were already blanketing the parking lot. Camille stood by the road with a sign trying to get people to come. The first hour and a half rolled by with 4 cars washed. I was wondering if that was how the morning was going to go and said a quick prayer. Man did the Lord provide! Camille didn’t have a chance to get to the road with the sign for the rest of the time! We had a great showing of support!

THE MUCH DESERVED THANK YOU’S

The support we received at the car wash was simply amazing! A friend (for his respect, I won’t name) was responsible for bringing 5 vehicles through (I think it was five, I lost count)! Thank you so much!

A family in a van came by and when we asked them if they wanted their car washed they said they only had 6 dollars and were going to spend it on clothes. We all decided to wash their van anyways (with their permission of course!). Before they left, they gave us the money that they had left over! Talk about humbling. Thank you!

All the people who brought their cars to us to be washed! Thanks and God bless you.

A huge thanks to our volunteer car washers, great friends and family, who woke up early on a Saturday to help us for nothing in return. You all didn’t complain once even in the extreme heat! You guys are amazing and we love you all!

Thanks to The Vine for their wonderful support and letting us use their water and hoses and take advantage of their yard sale traffic!

Thank you Father for your blessings you continue to pour out onto us! All glory goes to You!
