As I finish up staffing this DTS, I can’t help but reflect on these past crazy fast-paced 6 months. If I tried to unpack my experiences and things I learned, this blog would be a book! I figured I’d let you in on my top 7 revelations/things learned.
We had our last meal as a full group. We call it a love feast (Check out the history of Love feast and the Moravians). It’s a time to think about God’s goodness in the past 3 months. Its time to love each other over a good meal and entertainment. As staff, we decided to follow Jesus in his way of servanthood and serve our students the meal. We also felt it on our hearts to wash our team’s feet. As leaders we wanted to lead as Jesus did, by
Last week was probably one of the most busy I’ve had in my life! Wake up at 5:30 am bed at 11 pm many of the days. It was Camille and my week to lead the class as part of our leadership training. We were to pray into it and act on anything the Lord was saying, meet with speakers, introduce

We started seeking another name and immediately things started happening that pointed to using Awaken. A friend of the
This week, my sister Kristin left on outreach. We have been hanging out as much as possible before she left and had a chance to have a sushi picnic the day before she flew to her outreach location. Its been great to see her step into her calling and thrive as discipleship training school staff. She is leading
The seas can be rough, but as long as the location is mapped out and we keep our eyes on the navigation, we will arrive at the destination in one piece.
I’ve been finding out how important discipleship is in life. I look back at my life and at how my dad and mom modeled to me how to live a honest, humble, practical life. On DTS,
Hey friends, I did short video of our staff at work—calling, e-mailing, and interviewing students, working on setting up blogs, and occasionally playing the guitar haha. Take a look.
