NAMASTE! Many thoughts and prayers over the past 3 months have been centered around this very time. Outreach has begun. We finally arrived in India after about 40 hours of travel. Travel was smooth even with 13 hours or so of layover time. I’m so proud of our team sticking it through-focused and with a great attitude. We are trying to fight to stay awake til 8pm Delhi time so we can fight jet lag! A hard task

Its official. We have our outreach team and are heading to Dharamsala, India (specifically Mcleod Ganj). I don’t want to give out specifics in public of our ministries but you learn more by signing up for our E-mail newsletter. Signing up will allow you to get specific news when we are on outreach from September to December that we couldn’t share on this blog.
This week, my sister Kristin left on outreach. We have been hanging out as much as possible before she left and had a chance to have a sushi picnic the day before she flew to her outreach location. Its been great to see her step into her calling and thrive as discipleship training school staff. She is leading
I was skyping with good friends Gary & Anna Brndiar and they thought it’d be cool to post notes on some of the training we have been getting after hearing a few of the points. We left Linkoping and traveled by bus the 5 1/2 hours to the city of Malmo (3rd largest city in sweden). We could tell once we stepped of the train that this city was going to be quite different to the very Swedish towns we were just in. There was a noticeable change is the people and the stores. The people here are mostly immigrants from eastern europe or the middle east. The stores have swedish and arabic languages on them. Falafel and Kebab shops are all over the place! We really get the feeling that we have left Sweden! It’s wonderful to see this new culture
We took the city bus to Rosengard and started walking at night in a place that supposedly the Swedish Police sometimes don’t go into. As we walked we were hearing these large bangs. We were like “gunshots!”
We had the privilege to tag along with a church that does a Jesus Bus ministry. Linköping, Sweden, is a college town and so many of the youth go to a strip of bars in the town center to hang out with friends. The Jesus Bus has been coming to the town square for quite awhile. It is well known in the town for serving warm Glogg and coffee with a hot pastry on Saturday nights from around 10PM to 2AM. It gives the group a chance to strike up conversations with students and people from town. Many times it results in prayer and ministering to these people.
I was so encouraged to see the healthy way the group goes about “evangelizing”. It is set up in almost the same way
We made it! We traveled halfway around the world from the most remote islands in the world to Sweden in northern Europe.

Kona airport delay – 3 hours
Kona to San Francisco – 6 Hours
San Francisco to Frankfurt, Germany – 10 hours
Frankfurt Germany to Stockholm, Sweden – 2 hours
Stockholm to Linkoping by train – 2:30 hours
Time change between Kona and Sweden – 12 hours
